Rivercreek Gun Club Rifle Shooting Classes

GENERAL INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

All Centerfire classes will shoot the April, May, July and August matches at 100 yards.  The June and September matches will be shot at 200 yards.  You may shoot unlimited sighters, but not on a record bull.

All classes have a 30 minute time limit with unlimited sighting shots.

Fee for each class is $7.00. Youths 17 & under shoot for free.

Tie Scores: In the event of a tie score, the X count will be used to determine the winning score. If the score and the X count are both tied, the top left scoring bull of the number one target will be used to determine the winner.

Wind Flags: Wind flags must be placed below or out of the line of fire and set up before the match. (Due to scheduling concerns, you might not always shoot the same lane in all classes). Wind flags may be removed or repositioned between relays providing it is done promptly as to not disrupt the shooting schedule.

Shooting Rifle in Multiple Classes:

The same rifle may be shot in more than one class as long as it does not exceed the rules. No class may be re-shot to try to improve your score, but if bench space and time allow, you may re-shoot for no score. However, your first score counts.

Semi-Automatic Guns: Any Semi-Automatic guns require a shell catcher or shield to be provided by participant.

Bolts Out Until Advised: Bolts must be out or a visible chamber flag placed in your rifle at all times until the range master gives the order to “Insert your bolts”.

Cross-Fires: In the event of a cross-fire, immediately notify the range officer.

Spotting scopes: Spotting scopes may be used by the shooter. Youth shooters 14 years old and under may have a spotter directly behind or besidehis/her bench (as long as they do not disturb other shooters on the line).

Shooters Under 17: Anyone under 17 must have an adult with them who is in direct supervision of them.

NOTE: In the following classes, unless specific gun equipment is listed, it is not permissible for use.
